The BnF and the TST project will take part in the “Nocturnes de l’Histoire” 2022.
The TST team (Jean-Luc CHEVILLARD, Emmanuel FRANCIS, Charles LI, Margherita TRENTO) invites the public at large to discover the BnF Indian manuscripts, beyond the text they contain. The event will take place in the manuscript reading room of the BnF, Richelieu site, on March 30th, from 6 to 7:30 PM.
How did manuscript illustrations shape the idea of India in the European mind? How was a Brahmin, condemned to prison, charged with producing a unique collection of Tamil manuscripts for France?
This evening will take a special look at the remarkable collection of the BnF and its unusual history.
As attendance is limited due to ongoing health restrictions, please register in advance.
You will receive confirmation of your successful registration and, closer to the date, further details on attend the event.
